Hedgehogs News September 2014

Welcome to Hedgehogs News September 2014

We would like to say a big welcome and Happy Birthday to Alexander who is turning 1!

baking for tea partyThis month the Hedgehogs had lots of fun baking for our tea party. We liked mixing all of the ingredients together with our spoons and hands and we did really well taking turns with the big bowl (we liked using our own little bowls too!). We are going to continue baking activities every week as we enjoyed it so much! We also enjoyed our yummy snack and were all very good at joining in with the actions at music time! Thank you to everyone who came!

The Hedgehogs went for an Autumn walk around the Meadows this month to explore the changing season. We collected leaves which some of us used for leaf-rubbing with crayons. We plan to go for more walks to collect more leaves and hopefully some conkers!

exploring coloured iceWe have been having lots of fun exploring textures again this month! We loved using our hands to explore foam, sand, water, glue, jelly and ice! Coloured ice was a favourite for the Hedgehogs! We have also spent lots of time in our mud kitchen splashing the muddy water with our hands. We plan to add more textures (leaves, conkers, glitter etc.) to our mud outside and use our hands to explore this!
